Buried Alive

Notes:

I decided I wanted to write a song with a double bass drum part. That was the entire driving force when I sat down in my music room.

I programmed some drum parts and created over the top of those. The double-bass ended up in the pre-chorus. The drums and the bass drive, as the guitar climbs.

I love my bass parts. Sometimes I listen to these songs and think, “how the hell did I come up with that?”

Another song with some cool Tracey lyrics.

It turned out to be a pretty good rocker with some interesting parts.

Salty

Buried Alive

Verse
Late to bed, early to rise
Still asleep, can’t open my eyes
S-O-S nothing left to surprise
Smoke, cup of coffee and catch the headline

Pre-Chorus
Can’t you feel the pressure and the temperature is rising
If I have to take another minute, I feel like I am dying

Chorus
Buried alive
Buried Alive

Verse
Lots of parking full to the seam
Climb the stairs to floor 17
Work my bones like I’m a machine
Say all you need is a buck and a dream

Pre-Chorus
Can’t you feel the pressure and the temperature is rising
If I have to take another minute, I feel like I am dying

Chorus
Buried alive
Buried Alive

Bridge
Hear my cry, Oh…
Hear my scream

Solo

Bridge
Hear my cry, Oh…
Hear my scream

Verse
Miss the bus, head for the train
Mashed potatoes and meat loaf again
The whiner’s nag will drive you insane
Oh what’s the use, no sense to complain

Pre-Chorus
Can’t you feel the pressure and the temperature is rising
If I have to take another minute, I feel like I am dying

Chorus
Buried alive – don’t you know, I feel like I am
Buried Alive

Buried alive – don’t you know, I feel like I am
Buried Alive

Oh……
